The SAFE training was a great experience and confidence booster. You unpick one safeguarding case study and navigate it with a small group as if you are the DSLs around the child. Mark and Sian has some great specific feedback and suggestions on how to start conversations and how much information is ‘enough’ information to create a safety plan for the child.

©SAFE Interviewing should never be used in the place of formal Police interviews but recognises that there are many times when the initial information does not meet the threshold for Law enforcement to become involved OR that by shutting a child down who wants to disclose could stop them from sharing information in the future.
This is a must do training for all safeguarding professionals at schools. Lots of great information delivered in a clear way. Definitely will help to increase your confidence and skills in supporting students at your school.
