School / Organisational Accreditation

Let everyone know that you are a school or organisation that takes Safeguarding extremely seriously and are focused on ensuring children’s voices are heard and interviews are conducted ethically and appropriately

Requirements:

  • All school staff certified in Level 1 : ©SAFE Conversations
  • Extended Safeguarding Team are certified to Level 2 : L2 Essential ©SAFE Interviewing
  • Minimum of 1 Accredited ©SAFE Interviewer per 600 students
  • Completed the SAFE Interviewing agreement to show that the organisation is committed to supporting your SAFE Interviewers
  • Senior Leadership Team to complete annual 1 hour SAFE Interviewing training session* to ensure an understanding of system and support required.

Certification

Annual Certification

12 Month Certification:

  • Independent Learning: Complete all designated online modules.
  • 2-Day Live Training: Attend and participate in the full training sessions.
  • Practice Journal: Document at least 2 interviews conducted, to be reviewed during the training.
  • 1-Hour Group Check-In Session: Attend a follow-up session 3-4 months after the live training.

24 Month Certification :

  • Additional 1 hour Group Supervision 8 – 12 months after initial certification
  • Re-certification after 24 months requires 1 Day refresher training required to maintain certification
