Ms Sian Jorgensen

Educated to Masters level as a Counsellor and Social Worker, and with extensive specialist qualifications and experience from the USA, UK, and SE Asia, Sian combines impressive international statutory and investigative experience with a person-centred and restorative consultancy practice.
Specialized Child Interview Training
Sian first completed Child Interview training in the USA in 2003 as a Child Abuse Investigator. More recently, in 2023, she was among a select group of specialist social workers in Staffordshire, UK, to complete the Achieving Best Evidence interviewing certification alongside Police officers.
Two Decades of Interviewing Experience
Over the past 20 years, Sian has conducted countless formal interviews for criminal and family court proceedings, as well as complex, informal conversations aimed at positive change with children and their caregivers.

As both a Child Protection specialist and Counsellor, Sian has sensitively explored harm and abuse concerns with hundreds of children and adults from diverse backgrounds, leading to positive change for many children.

Mark Fower

Extensive Experience in Child Protection and Training
In his 30-year police career, as a Tier 3 Advanced Interview trained officer, Mark has delivered courses on Achieving Best Evidence, Investigative Interviewing, and Child Abuse Investigation. Since leaving the police, Mark helps deliver the Interviewing Child Victims Course and the Child Abuse and Serious Crime Investigation course to the Child Protection Unit of the Cambodian Children’s Fund and the National Cambodian Police
Leader in Crises and Abuse Investigation
Mark led Child Protection Teams, overseeing investigations into child abuse and child homicides. As the strategic lead for his force, he also led the Hostage and Crisis Negotiator Team, which managed Counter Terrorism and Kidnap response functions.
Collaborative Safeguarding and Risk Management
Working with multidisciplinary teams, Mark coordinated safeguarding interventions, conducted risk assessments, and developed and implemented effective safeguarding plans

Marta Drozd

Extensive Experience in Investigative Interviewing
Marta spent nine years with Hampshire Police as an Investigator within the Criminal Investigation Department and the Serious Sexual Offences Team. Marta holds the National Investigators Examination qualification and is Tier 2 Specialist Interviewing trained. As such, Marta’s expertise lies in conducting serious and complex crime interviews with suspects, victims and witnesses in accordance with P.A.C.E and Achieving Best Evidence.
Focus on Crisis De-escalation and Collaboration
Since leaving the police, Marta has worked with vulnerable children and adults in a collaborative, non-judgmental way, helping to de-escalate crises and provide positive support.

After leaving the police, Marta focused on delivering holistic, person-centred support to vulnerable children, young people, and adults. Working with leading mental health charities, Marta provided practical strategies and tools to help de-escalate crises, and support and empower individuals towards positive change.
Comprehensive Qualifications in Mental Health, Safeguarding and Education
Marta holds a Master of Arts in International Political Relations, a Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills, and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. She has also achieved the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding and is a qualified Level 3 RQF Mental Health First Aider and Instructor.

Professor Rebecca Milne

Fellow of the British Psychological Society
With over 190 publications (H-Index 54, with over 10,000 citations), her research as a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and as a Chartered Forensic Psychologist has concerned the best ways to access reliable testimony, especially from those deemed most vulnerable, by developing novel communication techniques. Jointly with practitioners, she has helped to create procedures that improve the quality of interviews of witnesses, victims, intelligence sources, and suspects.
Founder and Director of the Centre of Forensic Interviewing
She works closely with the police (and other criminal justice organisations), creating practical solutions based on research, developing training, running interview courses, co-writing National Guidance (e.g. The Achieving Best Evidence Guidance, MoJ) and providing case advice (e.g. London Bridge terror attacks, War Crimes Team, Southport case, Sarah Everard case). She is the Founder and Director of the Centre of Forensic Interviewing, an internationally recognised centre of excellence.
International Journal of Police Science and Management
She is Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Police Science and Management. She was given the Tom Williamson award for her outstanding achievements in the field of investigative interviewing by NPCC in April 2009. In 2020 she was the sole awardee of the British Psychology Society Award for Excellence in Forensic Psychology Research. She is the UK MC Representative for the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) project- Establishing Networks to Implement the Mendez Principles.
